This is s tasty product sold at a moderate price.But it contains trans fat,hydogenated oils and high levels of sodium. It has three percent total fat and no cholesterol .It is also manufactured on equipment that was used to process eggs,tree nutsand peanuts.It is flavored with "natural flavorings" which is a little uninformative for people trying to follow a vegan or vegetarian diet.It comes in a very sturdy container that has a shelf life of over twenty years.No where on the container was there any information whether or not this was a vegan or vegetarian product.Nor was there any information on whether or not genetically modified soy beans were used.I love the taste of this product and would continue to use it if not for the transfats and doubts on whetherit is a vegan product.It is great with rice or pasta.It would make an excellent emergency or survival food for an omnivore .
