Just got this today, pretty good.I'm kind of a jerky snob, I make my own because most of the commercial jerky isn't very good.I love "Frank's Red Hot" sauce and have used it for years.This jerky is chewy and has a nice slow burn to it.I hope the local supermarkets pick it up.
hard to find a good Hickory beef jerky any longer with a true taste of hickory.Great taste and tender, like the strips of jerky. I have bought this a lot in outdoor retailers good to see it on the web as well. Great choice the kids seem to like the teriyaki better but I like the Hickory and Pepper

Yuk! Way overly tenderized, tiny pieces and 25% jerky dust. Can not recommend this jerky to anyone who still has their own teeth.
I love Jack Links Beef Steaks. These have a wonderful flavor with just the right blend of spices and hickory flavoring. I have trouble eating just one. It makes a great snack anytime. Before letting my grandkids know I have some, I make sure I hide a few first. Kids love them too.
Maybe I had my expectations set too high after reading the other reviewers. This is nothing like homemade beef broth. Yes, it's better than bullion, and it avoids the "tinny" taste that canned broths tend to have. However, it still has a hard-to-describe strange flavor, not the rich beefy taste others described. Plus, it's very very salty. It's hard to make a good sauce or soup from it because of the amount of salt.
Love the combo packs for a fraction of the price as compared to a convenience store. These are delicious, portable, and even the pickiest eaters in the family love them. Great protein energy boost any time of day. Just be sure to keep these somewhere cool or the cheese melts.
Love the jerky , but it's WAY TOO expensive & the selection is limited . I was a regular customer at Oberto for years & the selection & prices were MUCH BETTER when they sold it .
It was fresh and had good beef flavor, akin to Oberto's (one of my favorite store brands).The "hot" is not very hot, more peppery and it leaves a mild after-burn vs feeling hot in the mouth right away. Much better quality than a brand like Pemmican---I would buy Mr Z's over Pemmican if they were similarly priced.I ranked it as a four because it is as good as any store-brand I've tried;however, no widely-available store brand I have ever tried (including this one) is as good as some of the small boutique handmade jerkey that one can buy in, for example, Texas.
We are big jerky fans in this house and I have probably tried all brands at one time or another..This jerky is by far the WORSE!!! You will swear you are eating a Dog Treat and check the package a couple times to make sure they are for human consumption! Well my dogs are eating them as treats now
Whether preparing for hurricane season, winter storms, or just stocking the larder, this is a good item to have on hand. Although it, of course, tastes best when hot, it can be eaten straight out of the container if the power goes out.
This is the soft and chewy type of jerky that is hard to find. I like it for back packing it come in a 6 pack and is just right for packing. Great value.
I'm a heat lover and I've tried lots of "hot" or "spicy" varieties of beef jerky. I'm almost always disappointed because they're never hot enough. Even the A** Kickin' brand wasn't very hot. This product was a very very pleasant surprise though. The heat was about as hot as it gets for a consumer packaged product. It didn't bring me to my knees (it takes a lot to do that) but this is definitely the hottest jerky I've tried and it satisfied my need for heat.
I liked this jerky. It's got a good flavor, the pieces are a nice size and texture, and it's from grass-fed beef (no organic claims, however). It's imported from Brazil. The price seems to be comparable with grocery store prices, although I liked it better than the typical grocery store brands. The original flavor is salty - no sweetness. The 4-oz bag is a good size to have - more than one snack, but it probably won't dry out before you eat it all.
This is the most favorful, beef jerky that I have ever had.Shared it with the 2 college age kids and they loved it!yeah
These packets make a delicious hot drink. Unlike other soup mixes or bouillon cubes it does not contain an ocean of salt. Plus it mixes in hot water instantly. Nothing else is quite like it, both beef and chicken are great.
I love haggis when I visit Scotland so I thought I'd try this out.It was quite expensive in the Scottish shop here in the states where I bought it.Although it's a bit bland and not as rich as 'the real stuff' in Scotland, it was not bad with a few spices added to it (pepper mostly.)I will buy it again but not from that expensive Scottish shop in NC.Now if I could only find that wonderful whiskey sauce poured over haggis in Scotland!
It tasted very gamy.The beef is tiny rectangular mixed with beef product and beef filler, lot's rectangular thin sliced potatoes, a few (2 or 3 small bits) carrots and about 1 little slice of celery. 
We like corn beef to use in a sandwich. The price in our local supermarkets continued to rise. Saw this on Amazon and this worked out very good for me. 
These are a wonderful fast and easy meal.Big enough to split for two little people.They have the same great flavor that we have grown up with.
I have been a jerky ADDICT for decades, and have had home made, store bought and everything in between, and I ordered these because I was intrigued by the honey and brown sugar flavors and curious to find out how they tasted. I was a bit concerned re the thick cut and being able to chew it, but all worry was for naught and this is, far and away, no contest, the best jerky I have ever tasted in my life, bar none. I remember opening the jar, taking out a piece and putting it into muy mouth and then I was in jerky heaven, oh, they are sooooo good! If I could afford it, I'd have a jar a week, but restraint (and perhaps too much of a good thing) and moderation keep it in perspective for me, however, I will order a jar a month. If you have not tried these, please do yourself a favor and get them, you will not regret it! Bon appetit!
these jerky medallions,are of very fresh taste! the flavor more than met our taste "buds" expectaions! the size is great for a quick snack on the go.they are so good that we could not eat just "one".these are a very good deal in price.
The pepper flavor is just the best from my standpoint, each person in the family has a favorite but hard to pass up the value of the 1 lb. bag. We each had our own flavor for the summer trip and the pepper is clearly my favorite great taste and good kick.
I love Jack link's Beef jerky especially the peppered one in a bag. It has amazing flavor and taste. but this one is nowhere near it, the meat is rough, its like chewing on a plastic sheet. the flavor and taste are cut in half comparing to the mega pack bag. [...]
These were pretty good but the 2 oz ones taste better. Maybe I just got a bad box of these though. still great protein and energy.
Not nearly as tender as I'd hoped. Just as chewy and gristly as any other jerky. The flavor is borderline disgusting...just barely edible. Oddly enough, I found that mixing raisins in and eating them as a mix makes the stuff almost palatable. Considering the taste, price, and quantity of product, I would rate the value as being quite poor. I would not recommend this product. For a product being touted as "premium," I was sorely disappointed....probably closer to being a 1.5 star product than a 2 star, truth be known.
I like the peppered flavor a lot better than the original or plain, it does have a good cracked pepper flavor. I also think the quality is better than most other brands that I have tried. I like the 1 oz. packages and great value compared to buying individually.
Wasn't *bad*, exactly, but it wasn't particularly spicy, and I wasn't terribly fond of the texture.Disappointing, since I'm usually a fan of Pemmican.If you like beef jerky to actually be pretty spicy, try Jack Link's jalapeño-flavored offering.
My 7-month old son liked it but... some jars were better than others. I'm not sure why but some of them had a very thick consistency and I just had to throw them away. I started my son on solids when he turned 5 months and EB is the only food he's had. We are generally very happy with them and had this issue with this and one other flavor only. EB also makes Beef & Spinach dinner and we liked that one better.
wow the taste in this is great,very good flavor.very fresh tasting.i cut this in small pieces, for my kids.my wholefamily enjoys the chewy beef steak,i will buy again.great for on the road trips.a quick snack.
I've tried the hickory and peppered so figured I'd try the cajun too since I like spicy food. It has a nice kick to it but it's not too hot, at least in my opinion. The spicy taste lingers in your mouth for a bit but it's not a hot burn. It's not as tasty as I'd like but overall it's good and I'll order it again. My favorite is the peppered though, great taste and just a little spice from the pepper.
I find this a tasty product, as is the original non-reduced fat.It still has a lot of fat, if that's your issue.Not mine (I choose where to spend my fat calories), so I had a little non cholesterol margarine when I fry it and it comes out good.Very hard to find at my local stores.
I love Jack Link's jerky. It is the best quality beef jerky, no bad piece at all. This sweet & hot jerky has more hot flavor than sweet one. My two little sons both have problem with it, but I love it. Will order more in the future.
I love this stuff! Wild Ride Hoppin' Hickory has NO nitrites and NO MSG. It is made with natural ingredients, which is about as healthy as you can get while still eating beef. It is also low in calories. An entire 4-ounce bag is only 240 calories, or 60 calories per serving, high in protein and low in fat. I'm watching my weight, and Wild Ride is a welcome addition to my balanced diet.
I ordered these noodles for snacking or making a quick meal. They are good quality, suitable for snacking or a meal - I would add vegetables to make it a more substantial lunch or dinner.
Campbell's "CHUNKY Beef with Country Vegetables" is the best of the beef soups - a meal in a bowl, like beef stew. Shelf stable, so can sit around indefinately, ready for an emergency meal. We keep a case of this at our cabin. Not too salty, either, as soups usually are. It has 300 calories, 3.0 grams fat (no trans fat,) 42 carbs, 20 grams protein, 10 grams fiber, a perfect meal. Yes, it makes popping noises as it heats in the microwave, but the red lid is well vented, and there is no mess. Just give the hot soup a good stir and ENJOY!
I have tried all the flavors now and each is unique, the hickory is a true hickory that isn't overly strong but clearly has a taste of hickory smoking.The price is a value in the pound size.
The taste on these are just not right and what I was expecting. I thought it would taste just like the bagged jerky but its not. I would stay clear and stick with the bagged jerky.
I really enjoy good beef jerky.However, since I found a Brazilian brand of beef jerky that is sold in my local Kroger, nothing else matches up.I received a sample of Mr. Z Premium Beef Jerky, Teriyaki flavor.I usually really like Teriyaki flavor, but this one was a bit too mild and not very flavorful.In addition, the pieces I tried were very very tough and cut with the grain rather than against the grain.

These are real meat, not that terrible tasting slim-jim jerky fake meat garbage... From the very first bite the taste from these old wisconsin snack sticks is ooooh sooooo satisfying for any meaty snack craving you might get. Mmmmmmm
This jerky is not just an excellent value, it is by far the best jerky we have eaten. I buy it every year as Christmas gifts (and ofcourse, save one pkg for us) and everyone raves about it. My family always looks forward to Christmas because they know jerky will be there for the holidays. Perfect to put in your day pack for a hike, or to take with you on vacations,camping trips, or even to the office for a quick, healthy snack. Delish!
...in that it's chewy, beefy, and has a long shelf life. Jack Link's Peppered jerky is a tad too peppery for my liking, so I expected the teriyaki flavor to be just as robust. Instead, it is mild. Still really good, however! One word of caution, although it's addictive, eat in moderation, or your sodium levels will be off the chart.
Wild Ride Beef Jerkey is incredibly tender and flavorful.Most jerky products I've tried in the past are like flavored shoe leather - WFBJ is definitely heads and shoulders above all the others.There's actually some substance to it - and the fact that it's low fat with NO preservatives is a big selling point for me!If you like spicey - try the Black Pepper one ------

My husband loves beef jerkey, and he will not eat these.They are way too salty.Maybe some people won't mind the salt, but for us, it was too much.
You will love this jerky if you are a beer drinker. Recommend this product for sure for them nights around the campfires!
Not sure why some seem to rate this jerky so poorly.I love this stuff, as does my whole family.It's the only jerky brand we buy anymore!It's not tough like most bagged jerky, it's nice and tender, so it won't hurt tender teeth.:)
If you like beef jerky, you will like this product.I ordered it for my 25-yr. old son who expects a big bag of jerky every Xmas & no one was disappointed.My only disappointment was realizing that I could purchase this flavor at Walmart for a substantially lower cost-per-ounce.
this is the only kind of peppered beef steak i buy.it's always very fresh.and taste better than the other brands,if you like jerky i would recomend this product.
