I'm looking forward to trying Gary West Meats other flavors of jerky because the teriyaki was great.
We have found one cat and one dog who like this jerky.Every human I've pawned this off on thinks it stinks, so the two animals keep having the opened packages offered to them. I added a couple torn into bits to a squash stew last night, and it almost snuck into the family meal.It added a "meaty" texture as it rehydrated and the flavor fortunately was minimized.Straight out of the bag, these little disks are nasty in flavor and the texture is very, very spongy.The diameter is larger than a nickel, smaller than a quarter.The two animals give it a star, but be careful you only give them one at at time so they don't get sick.Humans polled don't even give it one star.

This is the best jerky that I have ever eaten.It is tender and tasty.
I love beef jerky and have probably never bought it at a better deal than the 12 packs for $26 shipped.Very good flavor, although some may not enjoy the teriyaki as much as I do.I probably would not buy at he regular price of aprox. $50, but would definetly buy when on special again.
I ordered this product 3 months ago and there was a problem.You open up the box that says "Teriyaki" but you find "Sweet & Hott" packages instead.Amazon told me Sorry and to try again later.I told them the manufacturer (Pemmican) made a mistake and Amazon should get it taken care of.I figured 3 months would be plenty of time for this to be sorted out.But as you can tell, it hasn't.My order which came 2 days ago, is once again "Sweet & Hott".Wow!
We love these.They have a great teriyaki flavor and are tender and easy to chew.My daughter loves to take some to school for a snack.They are very high in protein & low in fat!
Due to my predecessors last review, I felt compelled to write a response to their unfounded complaints. I have friends that go deer hunting (Ted Nugent style) and cure the meet into jerky so they can sell it and store it for longer periods of time. They , and Wikipedia both agree. The softer the jerky, the more fat there is in it. Actually, I want to thank my predecessors for their reviews. It tells me that they know NOTHING about how jerky is suppose to look, feel, and taste. This jerky is top grade A select jerky, with just the right seasonings. I put a piece in my jaw without chewing for awhile till it gets moistened up, then I chew (this is what my friends said is the way to savor jerky). My predecessors obviously are use to jerky that's 3% or more high in saturated fat (which according to Wikipedia, isn't jerky at all). Because of the the previously poor reviews, I thought I'd set the records straight. If you want a soft meat by product with fat that calls it self jerky, then buy the other brand. But if you want the REAL thing, this is it!
This jerky, like their Hickory Sticks, is delightfully sweet and for the most part readily chewable. The flavor is different from the Sticks, of course, but wonderful. I have found a FEW in each jar that are very hard to chew, or even impossible, but those aren't typical and the majority of them have excellent texture. It would be nice if they could somehow weed out the bad ones, but I still recommend this product very highly if you like meat that is more on the sweet side.
Absolutely the worst beef jerky I have ever had...I bought 12 packs on sale here on Amazon.I think I would have be better served chewing on the cash I spent on this.
