I liked these but they are a bit on the tough side. But what to expect with dried beef?

Review of Natural Smoked Game Combo

I am a Jerky hobbyist. I can't tell you what really makes a good piece of Jerky, but I can tell you if it one of the better ones out there. This combo pack was kind of a disappointment. I back on a low-carb diet and purchased different types of jerky from different vendors. This meat has a very natural and mild flavor. It wasn't at all bad. It just didn't have any WOW. I find myself going back to other brands as these ones sit in a plastic zip lock in my fridge. When these first arrived, I wanted to keep them to myself because of the price. Now I give out samples, trying to get rid of it. Other friends say it tastes good, or pretty good, but don't ask for more. Maybe I'm just not into the natural flavor. All in all, I liked the product but wouldn't buy it again.

Review of The Mother Lode - Jerky sampler

The actual jerky in this set is very good.unfortunately, the bulk of this set is some kind of meat stick and they're pretty funky.Can't get anyone around here to eat them, so they're just going to wind up in the trash I guess.The elk was OK and the buffalo was pretty good.I just wish it was lots of the regular jerky instead of those cruddy meat sticks.

Item arrived with mold collecting inside the vacuum sealed package. I hope that this is a mistake during the shipping process, or does Amazon intend to sell moldy jerky?

Review of Gary West Meats, Certified Angus Strips, Traditional, 8-Ounce Unit

I love this stuff. I have been consuming this jerky for years. I generally purchase it directly at the store in Jacksonville but have also had no problems ordering it via Amazon when I'm not in that area of the world.

Actual strips of beef, I don't know what the other reviewer is referring to.

I believe it's top round cut into strips. The traditional is my favorite with the cracked pepper being my second fav.

I have yet to have a better piece of jerky.

Review of Gary West Meats Beef Strips, Hickory Smoked Traditional, 4-Ounce Packages (Pack of 3)

I actually enjoyed this product, and liked the taste, but at least one package of my last couple of orders had mold present. I contacted their customer service person who responded that this is a known issue. They call these packages "leakers" They thanked me for letting them know, but gave me no reassurance about future orders.
