Review of Jack Link's Smokehouse Beef Jerky Medallions, Hot, 80-Count Jar

Call me a fool, but when I ordered Jack Link's Smokehouse Beef Jerky Medallions, I thought I was getting beef jerky, not frisbees. These seemed more like doggy snacks than real beef jerky.Having eaten many Jack Link's products before, I expected more of the same good quality snacks but this was not one of them.These are made from chopped bits of beef which are then formed into discs. Consequently, the resulting product is tough and plastic-like, for want of a better word. I imagine dogs would enjoy them a great deal.

Two stars for the pleasing peppery flavor and the value. Zero stars for the consistency.

Absolutely the worst beef jerky I have ever had...I bought 12 packs on sale here on Amazon.I think I would have be better served chewing on the cash I spent on this.

Review of Smokecraft Hickory Beef Jerky, 6-Ounce Camo Packages (Pack of 12)

Not what I expected it to be or taste like. Not your typical beef jerky. It's hard to describe what I mean by that, sorry. Thin slices of processed beef. Slick and waxy/greasy, so much so that you feel the need to wash your hands afterwards. A little spicy - burns the mouth a bit afterwards (I guess this is from the added "smoke" flavor.) Not as "tender" as advertised.On occasion you may find quite hard little pieces in them (may be fat, I don't know). I wouldn't suggest eating too many of these at once.
I'm giving it 3 stars instead of 2 because I got it at a good price (because of a rebate) and received a large quantity, so I feel I got my money's worth and because it serves its purpose as a handy, portable snack at work to subside my hunger. But. let's just say that I was planning on buying it again in the future, until I tried it. Now, I'll opt for another Jerky over this kind. Perhaps it's a matter of taste and some enjoy this; but I don't.

A decent, middle of the road hamburger helper flavor. It tastes very similar to a salisbury steak with gravy. I use ground turkey with these mixes instead of ground beef - it is cheaper and much lower in fat. Prepare the ground turkey the exact same way you prepare the ground beef.

Review of Wild Ride All-Natural Beef Jerky, Gallopin Pepper, 4-Ounce Bags (Pack of 6)

The jerky is the driest I have ever come across and crumbles as soon as you put it in your mouth.Taste is terrible but I guess you would have to be able to get past the texture to better judge the flavor.Even my dog doesn't like the jerky, normally his favorite treat.
