This salt is very strong so it only takes a little to do the trick. It is wonderful on salmon cooked on the grill. I have also used it with chili and standing rib roasts. Alaea is the salt ancient Hawaiians used. It consists of unrefined natural sea salt and baked Hawaiian Clay and has a reddish pinkish hue to it. It is very tasty and quite aesthetically pleasing. Some say that it does not affect blood pressure the way refined salt does, however I know of no scientific studies to support this claim.
