These are quite tasty and I believe quite lean. I reccommend them with a cold beer and will probably order another pack.
I used Tony Cachere's Creole Butter marinade for my roasted (un-stuffed)Thanksgiving Turkey, and have also used it for injecting baked chicken breasts. It's made the best roasted poultry I've ever had, and now my 21 year old requests it as one of his favorite dinners. Even left-overs stay moist and flavorful.
These cocktail franks in puff pastry are absolutely delicious and easy to bake. Just 10 minutes in a pre-heated toaster oven, and these snacks are perfect! The beef franks are juicy and tasty. The puff pastry is perfect. These make a great snack for the whole family (or just myself!). I would highly recommend these for a party, or just to have around the house.
Recently my husband and I ordered the Bistro Grill Sampler, of which this was one of the meals.It was the only one we really disliked. Although I cooked to the minimum time, the meat was tough and overcooked.Worst of all was the bourbon sauce, gooey and gelatinous, very hospital- or cat food-esque, with a strong rancid garlic smell.I love garlic, but this was not a good flavor.On the plus side, the meat had no fat or gristle.Just my $.02
My husband is German so we've had a lot of brats, especially during our trips back to Germany so we thought we'd give these a try. We couldn't have been more pleased. These are by far the best brats we have ever had! The flavors are amazing and they cook up perfectly on the grill. Now that we are living in Germany I have to say I miss the Altengartz brats - they are by far the best. Congrats to this father-son business on their great brats!
